ARLINGTON - Rangers OF Josh Hamilton, tired of impostors posing as him, has joined the Twitterverse. Hamilton acknowledged that the account @thejoshhamilton belonged to him and he was in the process of getting it verified. In the meantime, he'd picked up more than 30,000 followers in about 24 hours.
Hamilton said the account would likely be managed by his representatives, but he'd update them two or three times per week on his life, games and the season. He'll also be given updates on what followers have said to him.
"People want to know how life is," Hamilton said. "They want to get as close to you as they can. I'll let them know my thoughts on life and games and stuff. ... I'm tired of people acting like they are me. It's not right to the fans."
