Wakefield Rotary tees up second annual charity golf tour

????????? The Wakefield Rotary Club of Wake Forest will begin its second annual monthly charity golf tour at the TPC Wakefield Plantation on Thursday, April 12, with 18 holes in a Texas Scramble format.
????????? Each month the club will team up with a different local charity and a portion of the entry fees and raffle proceeds will go to that charity. Last year the club raised $3,500 for the Rex Hospital Cancer Center.
????????? The monthly event will continue through October 11, but there will be no event I July. Tee times are at 2 p.m. with a shotgun start.
????????? The entry fee for each event is $80 and registration must be completed online before the event. Go to www.wakefieldrotarync.org and click on Rotary Golf Tour to register and pay. Raffle tickets are also available at $10 each or three for $20. Raffle prizes vary each month and will be awarded during snacks in the clubhouse after the event.
