Most people first think of how great they are going to look on the outside if they following an aerobics workout routine, and this is true it will give you an attractive, toned, and fit looking body, that people will admire and even envy.

Regular aerobics workout will help prevent arteriosclerosis or heart disease and even prevent stroke by strengthening the heart muscle and keeping the arteries elastic and open, this will lower blood pressure and raise your high-density lipoprotein (HDL) levels (good cholesterol) and lower your low-density lipoprotein (LDL) levels (bad cholesterol).
Aerobics workout does not burn cholesterol the way we know it burns fat, but what it does is stimulate the blood?s cholesterol levels and lower LDL (bad) cholesterol, triglycerides and increase HDL (good) cholesterol.
Your Brain Will Thank You
Regular cardio vascular workouts such as aerobics increases the ?brain-derived neurotrophic factor? (BDNF). BDNF is believed to play a key role in the regulation of mood. BDNF also help brain cells and neurotransmitters live longer, so exercise can prevent dementia.

India?s forex reserves down $502m
Mumbai: India?s foreign exchange (forex) reserves went down by $502 million (Dh1.83 billion) to $293.97 billion for the week ended September 21, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) data show.
The reserves had risen by $2.43 billion to $294.47 billion for the week ended September 14 2012, and subsequently grown by $1.58 billion to $292 billion for the previous week.
Foreign currency assets (FCA), the biggest component of the forex reserves in the week under review grew $48 million to $261.03 billion according to the weekly statistical supplement released by the RBI.
The FCA had risen by $2.33 billion to $261.51 billion last week.

The RBI in a statement said that FCA in US dollar terms included the effect of appreciation or depreciation of non-US currencies held in reserve, such as the pound sterling, euro and yen.
However, the value of gold reserves remained stagnant at $26.23 billion. Both the special drawing rights (SDRs) and reserves with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) declined in the week under review.
The SDRs increased by $11.2 million to $4.46 billion during the week ended September 21, 2012, while India?s reserves with the IMF grew by $5.6 million to $2.24 billion.

Minneapolis police probe shooting rampage that killed 5
MINNEAPOLIS (Reuters) - Minneapolis police on Friday sorted through evidence from a shooting rampage that left at least five people dead, including the founder of a sign company, a UPS driver and the man who opened fire at the business.
The suspected gunman in the Thursday shooting had once worked at Accent Signage Systems Inc and police were not searching for other suspects in the attack, the worst work-place homicide death toll in Minnesota in at least two decades.
Police have not officially released a motive for the attack but were treating it as a work-place shooting.
The suspected gunman apparently died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, police said.
Company founder Reuven Rahamim was among the dead, company spokeswoman Wendy Khabie said on Friday.
UPS driver Keith Basinski also was killed in the shooting, said Jill Schubert, president of UPS's Northern Plains District. A UPS truck was parked at the company's loading dock.
"Keith had been a part of our UPS family for 29 years and we are going to miss him very much," Schubert said on Friday in a statement.
Three men were taken to Hennepin County Medical Center in critical condition after the shooting, which was reported at 4:35 p.m. CDT (5.35 p.m. EDT) on Thursday.
A hospital spokeswoman said one man remained in critical condition and a second was in serious condition. The status of the third man, who had been listed in critical condition, was not known.
A fourth person was treated and released.
Accent Signage is the only manufacturing business located among the mix of single-family homes and parks in that tree-lined section of the Bryn Mawr neighborhood of Minneapolis.
"In a great neighborhood and a great business, we have a horrible tragedy," Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak said on Thursday night.
Accent Signage is known for a process of making interior signs with durable Braille text lettering. The company website includes a picture of a White House Counsel office sign plate that uses the Braille technology.
Rahamim, an Israeli immigrant, started a sign business out of his basement that grew to have 28 employees and an expected revenue of $5 million to $10 million this year, according to the publication Finance & Commerce.
"Reuven was so proud of everything that he and his family have built in this country, and he had a right to be," Rybak said Friday in a Facebook posting.
The Minneapolis shooting comes a month after a work-related shooting near the Empire State Building in New York, which killed two people and wounded nine.
This followed an July mass shooting in a crowded cinema in Colorado and an attack on a Sikh temple in Wisconsin in August, which rekindled debate about gun control in the United States.
Minnesota work-place homicide records date back only to 1992 and no one incident had resulted in more than two homicides.
Nationally, there were 458 workplace homicides in 2011 and 518 in 2010, according to U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics data.

Why I never trust GPS maps completely (and you shouldn't either)

On a trip to Oregon's?Willamette Valley in the spring of 2010, I was using the Google-powered?Maps app on an iPhone 3GS to hunt down wineries while my friend drove.?
That's farm country, and driving on dirt roads is pretty much expected. Nevertheless, it seemed odd when the app told us to turn onto a gated farm driveway.?
Then we saw the sign: "Sorry your GPS brought you here. To get to the winery you came for, turn around and go back?" It was polite, but you could sense that the farmer who posted it was somewhere on his tractor, smirking.
There's an old sailor's adage: Always carry at least two forms of navigation.
While that no longer means "pack a sextant," it does mean you should at least?have a back-up GPS app, a separate GPS device?or even a honest-to-gosh?dead-tree road atlas when you're in unknown territory.?Thanks to the well-publicized shortcomings of Apple's new Maps app???the first one that's?not powered by Google data???our blind reliance on GPS apps has become quite clear.
As a tech writer and navigationally challenged human who's reviewed GPS gadgetry for 10 years, I've learned that?any system can be as flawed as it is useful, and you should never trust it 100 percent.
Back in the early 2000s, before we were married, my wife lived for a couple of years in Washington, D.C. and I would head down there from New York on weekends.?When you're driving along in D.C., numbered roads veer into lettered roads, and?you have to make a lot of weird corrections?every few blocks, all the while risking driving straight into a fountain or a statue of a man on a horse. While D.C. residents take pride in the "National Treasure"-grade mysteries of getting around the nation's capital, outsiders like me fail to appreciate it. So when GPS became a thing, I was all over that.
My wife and I referred to the first GPS navigator as "the other woman," but in reality, this authoritative, British female voice was a relationship counselor: When road rage was high and we weren't listening to each other, we would both listen to her.
During that period, I tested a lot of GPS products for my weekly column on Time.com and for pieces in the New York Times and Money Magazine. I got to try out all of the major brands, and compare them side by side.?With GPS, even D.C. was, for the most part, much easier to get around in.?
But there was one map error that constantly perplexed us: When driving back from the Pentagon City Mall to Southeast D.C., we would always be told to take an exit that didn't exist. New construction, you may think, but there was no evidence that the exit ever existed. At least not where it told us it was.
The sudden surge of consumer GPS gadgets around 2001 and 2002 was caused by the U.S. government allowing civilian hardware to access the?1-meter GPS?accuracy that had previously only been available to military devices.?
But GPS only tells you where you are in latitude and longitude?? building?the visual maps that need to be placed under those pinpoints is a challenging multi-billion-dollar endeavor. Even Google???which stood on the shoulders of mapmakers such as TomTom-owned Tele Atlas and Nokia-owned Navteq when building its remarkable geographical database???can get it wrong every so often.
The world is constantly changing???roads and bridges spring up, while old ones are closed off. Cow pastures become shopping centers. Restaurants and bars open and go out of business. A broken clock may be right twice a day, but?a map of the world really never is.
In 2004 or 2005, TomTom was pitching me on its latest dash-mounted navigator. I had favored Garmin (which used Navteq's maps, which experience had suggested to me were more reliable than the Tele Atlas ones used by TomTom). Nevertheless, I was willing to give TomTom (and Tele Atlas) another try. When I set it up, however, I noticed a real problem: My home wasn't on the map.?
The best rationale was that my street was part of a new-ish apartment development, but excuses don't work when you can't even get home! The apartment complex in question has since been added to the Tele Atlas database???sure enough, it?appears on the new Tele Atlas-powered Apple Maps app.
But even my preferred Garmins gave me trouble. When I went to the wedding of one of my best friends, out in rural Vermont, the GPS system would get me within a mile of his house, but leave me out on a road in the middle of a field. Finding his house from there?required dead-reckoning, though the balloons on the mailbox didn't hurt.
Down in Texas, visiting my brother-in-law, even a simple search for Starbucks once turned into an existential nightmare (made worse by lack of caffeine). The "point of interest"???those geo-tagged yellow pages that are the least reliable part of the GPS map experience???plopped a Starbucks smack in the middle of a quiet residential street. We never did quite figure out where that phantom Starbucks really was, or if it existed at all.
Smartphones were thought to be the holy grail, because they could download fresher (and therefore???we naively assumed???more accurate) maps on the fly. Never again would a random construction project take you by surprise. So we cheered the arrival in 2009 of bona-fide turn-by-turn smartphone?navigation, particularly the free version that?Google offered on the Motorola Droid and subsequent phones running?Android 2.0.
For iPhone users, GPS navigation was a double-edged sword, because without Apple providing a free homegrown navigator,?people who wanted live turn-by-turn instructions had to pay up in the App Store, sometimes up to?$100. The bulk of iPhone owners stuck with the native Maps?app, powered by Google, and even though it was only at its best?when you had a navigator riding shotgun, who could read out instructions,?its accuracy became the gold standard.
Cue all hell breaking loose when Apple swapped it out with their own approach, powered by the Tele Atlas map?database instead of Google's. The problems there are compounded: It's not just that some of the map data is screwy, it's that the points of interest that are pegged to the map can be way off.?
To make it worse, Apple oversold the 3-D multitouch map?manipulation. While?it looks insanely great when fully operational, it looks downright screwy when rendered wrong or used in an unsupported area (like most of the world). Apple bit off more than it can chew and, as CEO Tim Cook's apology indicates, the company is choking.
The other day, my family was packed into the minivan, heading from Seattle to a friend's house across Lake Washington. Our car's navigator was trying to take us over the 520 toll bridge, but Apple's Maps app was saying to go over I-90, which is free. We steered in that direction, and were glad we did: Turns out, the 520 bridge was closed all weekend.
It's at this point that a sane person just throws up his hands. If the free Apple upgrade works some of the time, and my car navi works some of the time, and I've also got the Garmin app and?Google maps via the browser, the real answer is the sailor's law: Reliance on one navigation tool is stupid, so always have a back-up.

Bluegrass Awards remember Earl Scruggs, Doc Watson
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) ? It was a hard year in the bluegrass world and the loss of icons such as Earl Scruggs and Doc Watson hung over the International Bluegrass Music Awards on Thursday night.
The Gibson Brothers won entertainer of the year and joined Junior Sisk & Ramblers Choice as the only multiple winners at the ceremony at Ryman Auditorium. But the attention of most was turned toward the pioneers no longer able to attend.
An emotional Steve Martin paid tribute to the late banjo innovator Scruggs with a special 30-banjo salute that included many of the world's top five-string players.
The IBMAs also saluted Watson and players Doug Dillard and Everett Lilly, as well as bluegrass promoter and actor Andy Griffith, all of whom died in the last year. Watson won guitarist of the year posthumously.
It was the first entertainer win for The Gibson Brothers, who also took home honors for gospel recorded performance for "Singing As We Rise," with Ricky Skaggs. Sisk & Ramblers Choice won album of the year for "The Heart of a Song" and song of the year for "A Far Cry From Lester & Earl," keeping with the night's unofficial theme.
In major categories, top nominee Russell Moore won male vocalist of the year, Dale Ann Bradley won female vocalist, Joe Mullins & The Radio Ramblers were named emerging artist, Blue Highway won vocal group, The Boxcars won instrumental group, Lonesome River Band won instrumental recorded performance for "Angeline The Baker" and St. Jude charity album "Life Goes On" won recorded event.
Rob Ickes (dobro), Stuart Duncan (fiddle), Sammy Shelor (banjo), Adam Steffey (mandolin) and Marshall Wilborn (bass) won instrumentalist of the year awards.
And 2012 Bluegrass Hall of Fame inductees Doyle Lawson and Ralph Rinzler were honored as well.
Though the night was full of spirited performances, none could hold up to Martin's show-ending salute to Scruggs. The actor, comedian and musician seemed on the verge of tears as he paid tribute to Scruggs before inviting players including J.D. Crowe, Kristin Scott Benson, Sam Bush, show co-host Del McCoury, Lawson, Shelor and Tony Trischka and more than 20 others onto the stage where Scruggs first played his rolling, rollicking style during the Grand Ole Opry.
Scruggs' sons Gary and Randy also were part of the tribute.
Martin said in an interview before the show that he was inspired by the Kennedy Center Honors when conceiving of the Scruggs tribute.
"They like to do these big salutes and I thought why not here at the IBMAs for Earl," Martin said. "All the banjo players who've been influenced by him, why can't they all be here and pay tribute to him?"
McCoury, inducted into the Hall of Fame last year, said he would probably not have gotten into music had it not been for the Flatt & Scruggs record his brother bought in 1950. The 11-year-old McCoury was transfixed by Scruggs' playing.
"I just could not get that sound out of my head," McCoury said.
Mandolin player Bush joked he was playing rhythm banjo while on stage, but said he felt privileged to be involved.
"I knew Mr. Earl," Bush said. "It gets real emotional as I look at Randy and Gary standing there and how they must feel, and how everybody loved their dad. He was a true gentleman. Nobody's more deserving of accolades than him."

When the so-called "Jesus rifle" came to light?in Jan. 2010, it sparked constitutional and security concerns, and a maelstrom of media coverage. The Pentagon ordered the removal of the secret code referring to Bible passages that the manufacturer had inscribed on the scopes of the standard issue?rifles carried by U.S. soldiers into battle in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Nearly three years later ? despite the military's assertion that is making "good progress" ? the code remains on many rifles deploying to Afghanistan, which some soldiers argue is endangering their lives by reinforcing suspicions that the United States is waging a crusade against Muslims.
"I honestly believe that this is a dangerous situation. It literally could be a matter of life and death for a soldier if he fell into the wrong hands," said an Army officer who spoke to NBC News from Fort Hood, Texas.?"The fact that combatant commanders are not following (rules set by Department of Defense) commanders is very disturbing to me."
The officer, who asked not to be named out of fear of reprisal from commanders, provided a photograph, taken on Tuesday, of the code on an M-4 rifle?assigned to a soldier who is slated to deploy to Afghanistan in coming weeks.
The code stamped into the metal of the soldier?s ACOG (Advanced Combat Optical Gunsight) ends with the model number with "JN8:12." which refers to the New Testament passage, John 8:12, which reads: "Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life."
Other rifle scopes among some 250,000 provided by Michigan-based manufacturer Trijicon were imprinted with codes that point to passages in Matthew, Mark, Luke,?Corinthians and Revelations, ABC News reported when it broke the news in 2010.?
Trijicon,?reportedly had been following this practice for at least two decades, and it was well known to gun enthusiasts.
But these scopes attach to M-4 assault rifles used by U.S. troops, allies and Afghan and Iraqi forces being trained by the U.S. military.
The Military Religious Freedom Foundation, a nonprofit group that aggressively pursues the separation of church and state in defense institutions, first flagged the issue in late 2009 after receiving scores of complaints from active duty military members. ?
"It?s constitutionally noxious," said foundation president Mikey Weinstein. "It's an embarrassment and makes us look exactly like the tenth incarnation of the crusades which launches 8 million new jihadist recruiting videos."
The military first said it was unaware of the biblical code. Then Gen. David Petraeus, formerly the head of U.S. Central Command overseeing U.S. forces in Iraq and Afghanistan, in Jan. 2010?issued a press release saying he was "very concerned" to learn of the biblical markings, which were "contrary to U.S. Central Command guidance."

"Our mission is to protect the population we're serving and establish conditions for security, stability, and development, and we strive to do that while remaining sensitive to the cultural and religious norms of the populace we are supporting," he said.
In Jan 2010, Trijicon which had a multi-year Defense Department contract to provide up to 800,000 sights, announced it would stop printing the verses on new scopes for the military use and provide modification kits for the removal of the code on existing scopes.
The Department of Defense said it would modify the scopes, starting with those on bases, though in March said it might take as long as a year.
Not all observers thought removal of the unobtrusive lettering on the scopes was a matter of great urgency.
"I understand that we have already started to address this issue," said retired Lt. Col. Robert Maginnis, in a debate with Weinstein on ABC News in March 2010. "You may argue it?s not fast enough," but he said he saw "no evidence" that the code presented a security issue.
Fast forward two and a half years, and "Jesus rifles" are still widely used in the United States and in areas of conflict, according to the Fort Hood?officer, who was deployed to Iraq in 2010-2011. He says he has never seen a fixit kit.
Weinstein of MRFF said he has received more than 2,800 complaints from troops about the Jesus rifles ? now even more widely known to Afghans and Iraqis, in part because of the controversy.
Iraqis "absolutely" know that it?s a Jesus rifle, said the Fort Hood officer, based on his experience.
"Do all the Afghans and Taliban know about this? Probably not. But the ones who do could ultimately affect the life of a soldier," said the? officer. "There?s absolutely no reason this couldn?t have been done in the first six weeks. And that just leads me to wonder why is the Army leadership not taking ownership of the responsibility of completing this task?"
Contacted by NBC News, scope-maker Trijicon directed calls to the head of sales and marketing Tom Munson, who relayed the message through his secretary that "he had no interest" in discussing the Jesus rifle.
NBC News queries to the military about the plan to remove the gospel-referencing code were answered in the form of an email?statement saying the "corrective measures the Army took to remove the code were still ongoing."
"We had to take steps to ensure the corrective measures did not impede ongoing operations in theater, but we've got procedures to catch this at multiple points," said the statement provided by Matthew Bourke, in the U.S. Army Media Relations Division. "We're making good progress."

For example, when an employer reprimanded a claimant in the presence of the general public, the TWC found that the employee had a good cause to resign.
If the resignation is solely because the employer has reduced the employee?s wages or benefits, the TWC has concluded (with court approval) that resignation in that instance is for good cause in connection with the work, and the employee is entitled to collect unemployment compensation benefits.
There are also special rules that apply when an em??ployee leaves work to move with a spouse, or when he or she moves because they have been a victim of domestic violence. Military spouses get even more beneficial treatment under certain circumstances.

BENGHAZI, Libya (AP) ? The attack that killed four Americans in Libya, including the U.S. ambassador, was an organized two-part operation by heavily armed militants that included a precisely timed raid on a supposedly secret safe house just as Libyan and U.S. security forces were arriving to rescue evacuated consulate staff, a senior Libyan security official said on Thursday.
Wanis el-Sharef, eastern Libya's deputy interior minister, said the attacks Tuesday night were suspected to have been timed to mark the 9/11 anniversary and that the militants used civilians protesting an anti-Islam film as cover for their action. Infiltrators within the security forces may have tipped off militants to the safe house location, he said.
He said an unspecified number of militants suspected of taking part in the attack have been arrested and that others were being closely monitored by police to see whether they are linked to a group. He refused to elaborate.
Ambassador Chris Stevens and another American were killed in the consulate during the initial violence, as plainclothes Libyan security were evacuating the consulate's staff to the safe house about a mile away, el-Sharef said. The second assault took place several hours later and targeted the safe house ? a villa inside the grounds of the city's equestrian club ? killing two Americans and wounding a number of Libyans and Americans.
El-Sharef, who was running the Interior Ministry's operations room commanding security forces in the city, gave The Associated Press an account of the night's chaotic events.
The crowd built at the consulate ? a one-story villa surrounded by a large garden in an upscale Benghazi neighborhood ? in several stages, he said. First, a small group of gunmen arrived, then a crowd of civilians angry over the film. Later, heavily armed men with armored vehicles, some with rocket-propelled grenades, joined, swelling the numbers to more than 200.
The gunmen fired into the air outside the consulate. Libyan security guarding the site pulled out because they were too few. "We thought there was no way for the protesters to storm the compound, which had fortified walls," he said. El-Sharef said Libyan security advised the Americans to evacuate at that point, but he says the advice was ignored. There was shooting in the air from inside the consulate compound, he said.
At this point, he said, the crowd stormed the compound. The consulate was looted and burned, while plainclothes security men were sent to evacuate the personnel.
Stevens, he said, is likely to have died of asphyxiation following a grenade explosion that started a fire, el-Sharef said. Ziad Abu Zeid, a Libyan doctor to whom Stevens' body was taken, told The Associated Press on Wednesday that the 52-year-old Stevens died of asphyxiation.
U.S. officials have said attackers broke into the main consulate building at around 10:15 p.m. and set the compound on fire. Amid the evacuation, Stevens became separated from others, and staffers and security that tried to find him were forced to flee by flames, smoke and gunfire. After an hour, according to U.S. officials, U.S. and Libyan officials drove the attackers from the consulate.
The next attack came hours later. Around 30 American staffers along with Libyans had been evacuated to the safe house while a plane arrived from Tripoli with a joint U.S.-Libyan security group that was to fly them back to the capital, el-Sharef said.
El-Sharef said the original plan was for a separate Libyan security unit to escort the evacuees to the airport. Instead, the joint unit went from the airport to the safe house, possibly because they were under the impression they were dealing with a hostage situation, he said. The militant attack coincided with the joint team's arrival at the safe house, he said.
That the attackers knew the safe house's location suggests a "spy" inside the security forces tipped off the militants, he said.
U.S. officials have not confirmed the account. They have spoken of an attack on the consulate's annex that killed two Americans, but said their report on the incident was still preliminary.

JOGMEC announced today that it will provide equity financing to INPEX Gas British Columbia Ltd. (IGBC), which, jointly established by INPEX CORPORATION and JGC Corporation, has acquired a 40% participating interest in British Columbia shale gas assets.
Following an in-principle agreement announced in November 2011, IGBC completed in August 2012 the acquisition of a 40% participating interest from Nexen Inc. with respect to the Nexen-operated shale gas development acreage in the Horn River, Cordova and Liard basins of northeast British Columbia, Canada.
JOGMEC investment in IGBC, covering up to 45% of its issued share capital, will be funded under the Fiscal Investment and Loan Program (?FILP?) for the first time, after a law permitting the application of FILP to natural gas development projects becomes effective on September 15, 2012.
While the Horn River gas production has already come on-stream, the full-scale development is to significantly expand the production capacity. IGBC and Nexen will also seek the opportunity to export the shale gas based Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) to East Asia including Japan. It is expected that this project will accelerate the increase and diversification of LNG sources, and consequently reinforce Japan?s energy security.
